The show, with its intense videos, celebrity news and his animated gestures has become the most watched broadcast in America. Made In America was nominated for an Emmy. The show's predecessor Diane Sawyer was the anchor of ABC World News Tonight before becoming the anchor. In recent years he's covered a variety of ABC News primetime specials including Breaking Point Heroin in America. He's traveled the world, reporting on news from Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti & the Gulf of Mexico. The awards he has received include numerous Edward R. Murrow Awards and awards from the Associated Press.
